WELCOME TO SPRING VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH
Who We Are
Come as you are, but don’t leave as you came
Spring Valley Community Church was birthed in the fall of 2000 with a vision to reach the quickly changing and growing college community of Allendale, MI. The heart of this church has always been to accept people as they are and help them become more like Jesus. One word that essentially summarizes this is transformation. Thus, the phrase, “Come as you are, but don’t leave as you came”. To help people feel comfortable “coming as you are” many of the traditional elements, particularly stylistically, found in church might not be noticed here. At the same time, we do place tremendous importance on the doctrinal beliefs of the historical Christian church. While we have folks from various backgrounds and ages who call SVCC their home, we are primarily a young church that attracts a lot of families consisting of new parents or who have small children.
To assist in transformation, we concentrate in the following areas:
- SVCC is a community of Jesus followers where you can COME as you are
- CONNECT with others Christ followers and make new friends
- GROW in your faith
- Be empowered to SERVE by volunteering through the discovery of your God given gifts
- And GO into your community and world
